ArkWarden

ArkWarden is an encrypted vault for iPhone. It holds photos, videos, documents and audio recordings. Each file is encrypted with AES-256-GCM under a random 256-bit master key, using Apple's CryptoKit. You unlock it by drawing a pattern on a 5x5 grid. The pattern runs through PBKDF2 with a salt unique to your vault, and the result combines with a key that stays inside your iPhone's Secure Enclave. That hardware key cannot be copied out, so vault data copied onto another device cannot be opened there. Your pattern is never stored, and the master key is cleared from memory when you lock the app. After the pattern you can add a second factor: Face ID or Touch ID, a 6-digit PIN separate from your iPhone passcode, or a YubiKey tapped over NFC. There is no account and no server. If you turn on iCloud backup, your files are encrypted on your phone before they leave it, and your encryption key never leaves your device. A 12 or 24 word BIP-39 recovery phrase opens the vault if you forget your pattern, and restores it on a new iPhone. You can shoot photos and video inside the app so they never reach your camera roll. Wing is a second vault with its own pattern and its own files, for when someone else is going through your phone. It's for people who keep private files on their phone: private photos, passports, IDs, tax returns, medical records, legal contracts. The encryption code is open source.
